Is it better to sleep at the resort or in the valley?
Accommodation next to the slopes is scarce and comes with high seasonal prices. In the valley you get more space, better value, great food and alternative plans if the resort closes due to bad weather: the cave, the gorges, local gastronomy and León city just half an hour away.
Can we rent ski equipment?
Yes, the San Isidro resort itself has equipment rental, and there are also shops in the surrounding area. We recommend booking ahead on weekends and public holidays.
What do we do if it doesn't snow or the resort closes?
The valley doesn't depend on snow: the Cueva de Valporquero is 10 minutes away, the Hoces de Vegacervera can be walked all year round, and León city is about 35 minutes away with its cathedral and its Barrio Húmedo.
